Today was our last day at school!

It was a great year together, I will miss you all because as the photo above says, you were my kids for the past 10 months. I wish you all, LEONARDO, MATHEUSZ, ALEXANDER, KAROLA, KARIMA, MADALINA, RAWAN and GIULIA a great summer holidays. I also would like to thank your parents for the co-operation they showed. Thanks! :)xx

Summer bucket list

Last Tuesday was the first day of summer. We discussed the activities we do in summer, how will the weather be, what are our wishes, what are our favourite activities etc, etc, etc. We ended the lesson by doing a bucket list for summer. Enjoy the photos!

My Bedroom

Mirrors

Today we talked and learned about mirrors. About mirrors that are curved. A curved mirror is a mirror with a curved reflecting surface. The surface may be either convex (bulging outward) or concave (bulging inward).
We also experimented with magnifying glasses and light. As you can see from the photos it was such a great experience when they put on the magical glasses, they all went wow. :)

Happy Father's Day

Last week the children worked very hard to finish their very special card to their fathers. I can say they all did a great job from both inside and outside of the card. Well done!

Last week at school we had a special guest, Fonzu il-Fenek.

Yesterday we had a mass celebration for all children at school who did their first holy communion this year.

Last week the children drew monsters and then they wrote sentences about their monsters. The following are some of the children's work.

Beebot

One of our lessons today was done using the Bee Bot. In the first part we did revision of shapes, so the children had to move to the shape I tell them by programming the Bee Bot according to the moves, left, right, backward and forward.. Then we used the Bee Bot with the introduction of words of places we find around us. Here the children had to go from one place to the other, again  by programming the Bee Bot with the right moves.

Little Red Riding Hood

This is one of the stories we did in class a few weeks ago.
We listened to the story, discussed what we liked and disliked about it. We also discussed what Little Red Riding Hood did right and wrong. The children also drew all the characters of the story and when they all had all characters they acted out the story with these made up puppets. Well done! You all did a good job!

Skeletons

Yesterday, we learnt about skeletons. We learnt about the biggest bone and the smallest bone in our body. We also learnt about how many bones we have. Do you believe that a baby is born with more than 300 bones and an adult got over 200.
We discussed, we watched videos and we also build a skeleton with a magnetic model. Then the children also drew skeletons and tried to make them funny.
